I've covered how and why we use MPS and SVS in the previous tutorial.

This one's on how to do animation.

Essentially, you need to understand how to control each Frame, set its (start) Time; and in animation, you need to have pictures in GIF or PNG format with a transparent background.

Hope these 3 tutorials help new users to understand what MoTV can do.

Richjenn, I just got around to reading your tutorial (Utube). I needed that capability this past March - April and tried to do it with chroma color in Video editing software. It worked but had poor quality. This is a great idea, thanks for posting.

I presume you did it on a video software with chroma color background which gave poor results?

How was the animation when done using MoTV?

I also had an updated version on doing Animation in the webpage below. It is in the set of 7 tutorials on understanding the basic features of MoTV. Not sure if you viewed these too.

Yes, I did it on Pinnacle. I cut 2 high definition short sequence videos, one with the green background for chroma key pocessing. Out of Pinnacle, I cut a high definition video that did exactly what I wanted, except the quality of the picture was poor.

I have not tried your suggestion yet, was going to try that this weekend. I will review your animation videos on youtube.

Thanks for the response.

I did the animation using PNG for the foreground picture and it worked very well. I put people from one picture in front of a more interesting background in another and then zoomed in as I paned slightly to the side. This gives a great 3D effect. It is very similar to the effect that TNT uses to advertise their shows.

I am going to Guatemala with a group next week and will use this animation for the DVD that I will create of the trip.

Thanks again. That was a great suggestion and one that will be used often.
